Engagement Rings, Nature-Inspired Designs
Many of my engagement rings reflect motifs borrowed directly from the landscape. Names like Windermere, Lakeside, Beach Sand, and Ullswater evoke lakes, rock patterns, rippling water, and rugged terrain. My full range of rings can be found here.
The gold and silver I use frequently features organic textures, such as hammered surfaces, carved finishes, or gently undulating shapes, that mimic natural rock faces or lake shorelines. These textures give the rings a tactile quality
Minimalist & Solitaire Rings
For a timeless and elegant choice, minimalist solitaires are a popular choice. The Beach Sand diamond solitaire features a single natural diamond set in a cared, slender band with a unique texture. The simplicity of this style allows the beauty of the stone and the subtle detail of the craftsmanship to shine through.

Rustic & Textured Solitaires
If you prefer something with more character, there are solitaire rings that combine stone settings with a rich handcrafted band. Take the Windermere Design Diamond Solitaire, for example: its band has a rustic, hammered feel that brings in the spirit of rocky terrain, while the diamond provides classic elegance. The contrast between the rugged metalwork and the refined gem highlights the balance between permanence and natural imperfection.
Coloured Gemstone Engagement Rings
I do not restrict myself to diamonds. I also include solitaire rings set with coloured gemstones, such as sapphires, emeralds, and rubies, which bring both vibrancy and meaning. The Windermere Design Sapphire Solitaire and Kendal Design Emerald Solitaire are excellent examples. These gemstones are mounted in recycled gold, and paired with textured, organic band designs inspired by local landscapes.
Three-Stone (Trilogy) Rings
For couples who want something a little more symbolic — celebrating past, present, and future — Cumbrian offers three-stone or trilogy rings. The Trilogy Diamond Ring in the Kendal design beautifully showcases three diamonds on a rustic, hammered band. This design feels deeply personal: the three stones can stand for different phases or pillars of a shared life, set within a handcrafted, textured metalwork that echoes Cumbrian terrain.
Artistic Motifs
Some of my designs take their inspiration from more botanical elements. For example, the Water Lilies ring captures the delicate curves of lily pads and water surfaces. A ring like the Diamond-set Water Lilies features a small diamond within a silver “lily pad” form, paired with a slim gold band — a design both romantic and imaginative.
Romantic Raw & Uncut Diamonds
Perhaps the most deeply rooted-in-nature style comes from Cumbrian’s raw or uncut diamond rings. These aren’t polished, faceted gems but stones in a more natural state, organic, untouched, and wonderfully unique. Paired with textured, rustic metalwork, these rings feel like a truly natural, unrefined symbol of connection.

Why Original Design Matters
What unifies all these styles is authenticity. Whether minimalist or ornate, classic or rustic, each engagement ring is made in recycled precious metals and inspired directly by the landscapes around the Lake District. My rings aren’t mass-produced pieces; they’re crafted with intention, meaning, and connection, to place, to nature, and to your own love story.
The diversity in the engagement ring styles means that whether you want something subtle or statement-making, traditional or modern, you can find a ring that resonates personally. The natural textures, handmade quality, and thoughtful use of materials mean the ring isn’t just a symbol, it’s a piece of wearable art, and a lasting reminder of commitment rooted in beauty and craftsmanship.
